How does the color inverter work?
Our tool uses the HTML5 Canvas API to process images directly in your browser. Each pixel's RGB values are inverted (255 minus the original value), creating a perfect color negative effect. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
What's the difference between Full Invert and Brightness Only?
Full Invert reverses all RGB values, which changes both the brightness and hue of colors. Brightness Only mode inverts just the luminance (lightness) while preserving the original hue, so red stays red but dark red becomes light red.
Can I invert only specific color channels?
Yes! Select "Channel Selective" mode and toggle individual R (red), G (green), and B (blue) channels. This lets you create unique effects like swapping just the red and cyan channels.
